It's summer time and OH my goodness it is hot! That's not a complaint from me, because quite honestly I love the heat...it's the cold that I can't stand! But I do feel like I should be in a pool somewhere at all times???

What are you all doing this summer? Are you going on any weekend trips? SHARE!!! I am definitely going to start looking at weekend getaways. I notice that I work really well when I have a planned trip on the schedule. I think it just gives me something to look forward to.

My Weekender bag has been getting all the love these past couple of weeks. Perfect for quick 2 day trips, and great during photo shoot days. I took it with me to Essence Festival last week and everyone loved my old beat up bag! LOL! I actually enjoy people being able to see a bag that has been used to know how it holds up. Personally, I happen to love leather even more the older it gets.

This particular bag was a custom stain for a client that I had just finished.and had to show off! She wanted purple, fuchsia, turquoise and silver. I recently used similar colors for another client's bag so I knew I wanted this one to be different. And it is.......I LOVE how it turned out. What a way to make a statement!
The Weekender isn't the only accessory getting love this summer! The zipper cuff, chunky ring and oldie but goodie tangled leather earrings have been in heavy rotation. I most certainly will be making more of all of these in different colors! LOVE!
new confidence
What I learned on this shoot is that I am way more confident now than I've ever been! I was just talking to a good friend last night about this new freedom that turning 40 seems to have awakened. WOW...........Fearless! Years ago, I would never have been caught in a swimsuit...now I'm doing entire photo shoots in them. With the way this heat and humidity is set up, this might be the new summer kickback wardrobe....LOL!

Last year I was blessed to be able to travel with THE GREY BUTTON to several cities and share my work. I enjoyed every bit of it! This year I would love to revisit those same cities as well as visit some new ones. If you would like to host a pop-up shop/bag party in MARYLAND or Southern CALIFORNIA, please let me know! This is the year of expansion and I'm going to need your help!
